But it is bright enough to give good detail. The one I have has a led with a 5 series by 8 parallel wattage not known yet. You can get a pretty big picture at about 10 feet. With all the cell phone and tablet watchers, who would care because not even they are real HD in most cases. If you want real 1080p use a computer monitor, because most tv's are approximations at best. The resolution of this one is based of a 4:3 lcd so for those who like full height 16:9 you will get a smaller height picture compared to the 4:3 setting of which is always taller. That is because fans can fail and without it things would start to melt. Most all Led projectors come with a Led temp shutdown switch which resets when cool again. Mine was made in 2012 but still works like new. I found the menu to be well thought out and was easy to use. Since I am a Theater purist I don't use TV's to play music. Mine happened to have a S-video of which I prefer over HDMI, with no USB.
